Todd was the first DJ to spin what is now called “EDM” (electronic dance music) on the radio – first in Boston with his Spin Cycle show on WFNX – then in the nation’s largest radio market: New York City. His hugely influential Solid State show aired live on 92.3 K-Rock every Saturday night for eight years – creating millions of new dance music fans…and more than a few DJs, producers and radio hosts.Solid State was also heard on WBCN Boston and WHFS Washington DC. When K-Rock switched formats the show became Altered State on WKTU for another two years.

After joining Sirius Satellite Radio in 2004, it didn’t take long for Liquid Todd’s trademark genre-bending style to start attracting interest and influencing programming. His proposals were directly responsible for three new channels being launched – completely revamping the electronic/dance lineup. Area (progressive/trance), Chill (downtempo) and Boombox (breaks, remixes) attracted thousands of new subscribers to Sirius Radio. Todd also created, programmed, and hosted Boombox Radio, a critically-acclaimed alt-remix and electro-rock show which just ended an impressive 10-year run on Alt Nation. “Gleefully subversive” — amazon.com
